A Man Called Hog

The attorney's statement seemed to backfire from a defense argument because he's basically saying that he himself would put him in the electric chair. He called him a hog because he thinks that African Americans aren't men, that they are hogs. He says that Jefferson is a hog and would not be able to come up with a plan to rob and kill the store keeper. Even though he was trying to help him, he basically called Jefferson unintelligent and was not considered a man.
